Arme is a cheerful Mage from Serdin, the Kingdom of Magic. She became a member of the Violet Magic Guild, the greatest guild of the Serdin Kingdom, at an early age. She has mastered both Black and White Magic, but her curiosity for magic is still insatiable. After learning about Kaze’aze’s powerful magic, Arme decided to join Grand Chase, hoping to encounter the Queen of Darkness.

Warlock



Tornado (Grade 1)	Warlock’s 1st grade attack enables the user to summon Sylph, the wind spirit that casts a powerful tornado on the ground. When an enemy is hit by the tornado, the enemy will be pushed back, and is immobilized for a short period. This creates a chance for the Warlock’s team to strike the enemy. This skill is especially effec- tive in dangerous maps like the Gorge of Oath.

Fire Ring (Grade 2)	Warlock’s 2nd grade attack triples the user’s defense for 15 seconds. The user is nearly invincible when using this skill, and will lose very little HP, even from Elesis’s combo attacks. Fire Ring enables Warlocks to match Knights in melee battle, but only temporarily. This skill’s duration doesn’t last long and repetitive use rapidly depletes MP.

Blizzard (Grade 3)	Warlock’s 3rd grade attack summons a powerful blizzard around the caster to freeze enemies within close range. The blizzard doesn’t cover the entire map, but it can be very effective at defeating groups of enemies at once.

1. Alchemist 's Black Magic



Bomb Drop (Grade 1)	Alchemist’s 1st grade Black Mage spell enables the user to set an invisible land mine which automatically explodes after a set time period. Land mines can be used to keep enemies away, or to create an opportunity to inflict a finishing blow. Land Mines can instantly finish enemies when used in the Gorge of Oath.

Killer Cloud (Grade 2)	Alchemist’s 2nd grade Black Magic spell summons a toxic cloud that can slow down and damage enemies. Killer Cloud is especially effective in narrow areas where enemies cannot evade. Continuously throwing bombs at enemies within the cloud’s area of effect can place them in critical condition.

Blockbuster Explosion (Grade 3)	Alchemist’s 3rd grade Black Magic spell shoots 3 powerful bombs, causing huge explosions around enemies. It’s difficult to aim all of the bombs at a single enemy since they’re shot in different directions, but two bombs are usually enough to defeat an enemy. Blockbuster Explosion is more effective on boss monsters in Dungeon mode rather than in PvP.

2. Alchemist 's White Magic



Cure (Grade 1)	Alchemist’s 1st grade White Magic spell restores the HP of friendly targets within the skill’s range. Very useful in Dungeon and PvP mode. This skill can also be used to create a delay for combo attacks. If there is an enemy in close range, the user can cast this skill, create a delay, and then finish the enemy with a combo attack.

Magic Shield (Grade 2)	Alchemist’s 2nd grade White Magic spell casts a magic shield around friendly targets within the skill’s range. This skill is effective when all friendly targets are gathered in an area, but has less practical use in real situations. This skill might be useful for protecting weaker, low-level users, but is easily broken by one hit from a powerful, high leveled attacker.

Make Item (Grade 3)	Alchemist’s 3rd grade White Magic spell randomly creates items from the Alchemist’s pot. It has a chance of generating HP or MP restoration items, but is entirely based on luck. This skill might not always be reliable in battle!

1. Black Mage



Stone Curse (Grade 1)	Mage’s 1st grade Black Magic spell that turns enemies into stone. This skill has a wide range and high attack strength, and is favored by many Mages. Stone Curse can be followed by other skills such as Earth Wave to create combo attacks. This skill also has a high chance of countering enemy air attacks, and it’s effective when enemies attempt to jump towards your character to inflict damage.

Lightning Bolt (Grade 2)	Mage’s 2nd grade Black Magic spell that shoots a long lightning bolt straight toward the user’s front. The bolt’s direction can be raised or lowered while it is cast, and the bolt reaches all the way to the other end of the screen. Lightning Bolt is very effective in maps designed in a straight line, such as the Gorge of Oath, and can be followed by other skills to create combo attacks. This skill is also useful for holding down enemies during team fights.

Meteor (Grade 3)	Mage’s 3rd grade Black Magic spell that is considered the most powerful attack spell. Summon meteors that fill up the game screen, and inflict damage once when they hit enemies, and again when they explode. These meteors cause more damage when they explode than when they collide against targets. Meteor’s explosion spots are limited to the same height of the user. It means the casting location can interfere with this skill’s effect. Lower enemies may not be effective if cast at the upper part of the map, and vice versa. Mages usually cast Meteor spells at the lowest part of the map, or at the same level as the majority of the enemies.

2. White Mage


Magic Shield (Grade 1)	Mage’s 1st grade White Magic spell that casts a magic shield around the user. The magic shield disappears when it’s inflicted with a certain amount of damage, and its defense strength does not increase if the user’s level and defense strength are increased. Therefore, the shield can be broken by one hit if the attacker is high-leveled. Despite this drawback, Magic Shields can protect its user from becoming frozen, and from getting killed from 5 hit combo attacks. Magic Shield’s true purpose is to provide an opportunity for the caster to counterattack, or evade enemy attacks after performing a skill with a long delay.

Reverse Gravity (Grade 2)	Mage’s 2nd grade White Magic spell that enables the user to change the gravity and attack enemies by launching them high in the air, and then forcefully crashing them to the ground. This skill has a 100% success rate on enemies perpendicular to the user, and is very useful against agile foes.

Cure (Grade 3)	Mage’s 3rd grade White Magic spell that enables the user to spin and move while shooting heart signs that will restore HP to allies within close range. This skill’s effect is not affected by the user’s level and stats, unlike Combat Alchemist’s Cure.

Elves from Eryuell Island are famous for their combat skills, but are naturally pacifistic and try to avoid becoming involved in Human conflicts. However, in the recent years, the war of Humans expanded across the entire continent and a series of bizarre incidents occured. The Elves decide to end their isolation and cooperate with the Humans. Working together, the Elves and the Humans discover that Kaze’aze is responsible for the havoc that is wrecking the continent. To return peace to Eryuell Island and the continent, the Elves decide to continue investigating Kaze’aze, and form the Elven Corps to combat her evil. Lire is a member of the Elven Corps that has joined Grand Chase on behalf of the Elves.

1. Arch Ranger



Hyper Shot (Grade 1)	Arch Ranger’s 1st grade attack enables the user to shoot an arrow straight toward a target: this shot will pierce through the target and damage enemies behind it. This skill is commonly used repeatedly to create an opportunity to strike enemies with a finishing blow.

White Wind (Grade 2)	Arch Ranger’s 2nd grade attack enables the user to swing her bow to attack enemies at close range. This skill is lacking in attack strength, but it can be used while moving: this skill is intended to help players escape when surrounded by enemies.

Chakra (Grade 3)	Arch Ranger’s 3rd grade attack is an advanced version of Archer’s Arrow Rain. Enables the user to fly in the air and shoot arrows upward. These arrows will fall to the ground in a huge explosion, and unlike Arrow Rain, this skill only inflicts damage on the arrows’ way down. Chakra isn’t very effective on single enemies, but it is useful on giant boss monsters and groups of enemies because of its wide attack range. This skill can also instantly finish downed enemies that are trying to stand up or are in the middle of resurrecting. However, the character is vulnerable before and after using Chakra so this skill must be cast carefully.

1. Crossbowman



Fan Shot (Grade 1)	Crossbowman’s 1st grade attack enables the user to shoot 4 bolts to her left side, and another 4 bolts to her right side. The direction of the shots can be raised or lowered by using the arrow keys. When used at close range, all 8 arrows will hit the same target to inflict great damage. Used this way, this skill is powerful enough to finish off a target, making it a very effective critical blow skill.

Dance Tempest (Grade 2)	Crossbowman’s 2nd grade attack enables the user to fire a wide volley of bolts while effortlessly moving with grace. This skill inflicts less damage at long range than at close range because the shots are scattered and unfocused.

Harpy Hunt Shot (Grade 3)	Crossbowman’s 3rd grade attack that originated from a special Harpy hunting technique. Jump backward, and shoot a bolt to hit a Harpy that will crush your enemy.

1. Archer



Metal Shot (Grade 1)	Archer’s 1st grade level attack that enables the user to shoot 5 arrows at different angles to damage targets. This skill has high attack strength, but it doesn’t have enough power to be used as a critical or finishing blow.

Arrow Rain (Grade 2)	Archer’s 2nd grade level attack that enables the user to shoot a volley of arrows that will arc and fall over a wide area. The arrows are shot above the user’s head, so this skill is effective on targets above the user.

Arrow Storm (Grade 3)	Archer’s 3rd grade level attack that enables the user to shoot a large volley of arrows that spin in a spiral to inflict great damage to targets. This spinning allows the arrows to spread over the entire screen, making this attack difficult to dodge. This skill is especially effective at causing critical damage to enemies at close range.

1. Sword Master



Power Break (Grade 1)	Sword Master’s 1st grade attack in which the user fiercely swings a sword to greatly damage a target. Its brief downtime as a 1st grade attack allows some time for the user to quickly react according to his situation. Power Break is also effective when a target is off-guard.

Blade Beam (Grade 2)	Sword Master’s 2nd grade attack is an advanced version of Sword Fire, the Knight’s 2nd grade level attack. Shoots powerful sword spheres to the front and rear of the character to strike multiple targets.

Dragon Dive (Grade 3)	Sword Master’s 3rd grade attack that is an advanced version of Critical X, the Knight’s 3rd grade attack. Attack a target during a jump, and then deliver a downward blow to the target on the way down. Similar to Critical X, Dragon Dive is very inaccurate and needs just the right timing to be fully effective.

1. Spearman



Force Strike (Grade 1)	Spearman’s 1st grade attack enables the user to hit an enemy vertically from top to bottom. A single use of Force Strike can inflict great damage despite this skill’s low grade. Its period of invincibility is as short as its activation time, so it can’t be used to dodge enemy skills as well as the Knight’s 1st grade skill: Mega Slash.

Compact Slash (Grade 2)	Spearman’s 2nd grade attack can inflict damage to enemies behind and in front of the spearman. This skill is especially effective if used when surrounded by enemies.

Fire Lance (Grade 3)	Shoot a burning spear straight ahead, piercing through all enemies in the spear’s path. This skill inflicts great damage, even if it merely grazes an enemy, so it is especially effective on maps designed in a straight line.

1. Knight


Mega Slash (Grade 1)	Knight’s 1st grade skill that consists of three sword thrusts, followed by a powerful downward blow. This skill inflicts a decent amount of damage despite its low grade, and the momentary invincibility during the delay after this attack can be used to the player’s advantage.

Sword Fire (Grade 2)	Knight’s 2nd grade level attack that enables the user to shoot a powerful sword sphere at multiple enemies. This skill can also inflict damage to other enemies behind the targeted enemies, and is perfect to reverse situations in which Knights are cornered by enemies.

Critical X (Grade 3)	Jump high to deliver a crushing downward blow from the air. This skill is very effective on enemies that are positioned higher than the user. Critical X has greater attack strength than Sword Fire, but suffers from a lower accuracy rate. This skill is used more frequently to battle giant monsters in Monster Expedition and Quest modes rather than in Fight mode.

In a Dungeon Run, you can fight against monsters alone or with a group of up to four people in order to complete quests and gather items needed in order to create and upgrade Runes.
DUNGEON LOBBY

1 - World Map. Click on a dungeon icon in order to bring up the Dungeon options list (2). Grayed-out dungeons need to be unlocked before you can select them. 2 - Dungeon Options. Difficulty ranges from * to *. The recommended level for each difficulty level is listed underneath. Enter Room - Enter the first room with a vacant slot for this dungeon at the chosen difficulty, or creates a new room if there are no vacant rooms. Room List - Brings up a window listing of all the rooms for the selected dungeon. Create Room - Create a new room for this dungeon. 3 - Chat Box**. Allows you to chat with all the people in the Dungeon lobby. (Note: You must close the Chat Box in order to click the dungeon icons underneath it.)
DUNGEON ROOM

1 - Room Setup. Allows the room owner to set a room password or change the name and color of the room. 2 - Equip. Bring you to the Equip window without leaving the room. 3 - Status Window. Your current status. the 6 slots about your character are your item slots. Any consumable items you have equipped are displayed there. 4 - Party. Your party members (other players in the room). 5 - Dungeon Settings. Select the dungeon to enter, as well as its difficulty level. 6 - Looting Mode. Together between Group Loot (All non-equipment loot is distributed at the end of the run) or free Loot (Loot goes to the person who picks it up) 7 - Room Actions. Various actions you can take while in the room. Invite - Invites people on the channel who are not in a room to join your room. Ready - Toggle Ready/Not Ready status. All players must be ready to begin the fight. Game Start - Start the fight if all players are ready. Only Available to Room Host. Exit - Leave the room.

Aegis Knight

A very traditional knighthood, the Aegis Knights have been the strongest defense for the Kanavan Kingdom since ancient times; their swords and shields have always
stood stalwart to defend the kingdom.

The Aegis Knights call themselves the Absolute Shield. With their renowned skills in battle, they are the greatest defenders of the Kingdom.

Aegis Knights fight with a Sword and a Shield. While some might consider this less efficient for slaying foes, the Aegis Knights have proven that not many can match their skills in combat.

After the invasion and repeated attacks that followed from Kaze'aze, the Aegis Knights, stalwart as they were, faced annihilation. It was Ronan, who emerged from the ranks to lead the Aegis Knights forward and rallied their strength against the tide of dark forces
that sought to break upon the Kanavan Kingdom.

With his new-found powers wielding the Sword and Shield along with his white magic, Ronan has become not only the guardian of the royal family, but the bulwark of Kanavan. He is the Kingdom's only hope of defense and survival.

Aegis Knight Characteristics

Using a shield, Aegis Knights can quickly attack from around the shield so that they can carefully guard themselves while choosing their next move. Blocking is, initially, difficult to time and coordinate, but once mastered enemies will have no help of ever hurting an Aegis Knight. Utilizing Ronan's innate magical abilities, you can collect the power of runes to dramatically increase the power of your own attacks as well as your teammates'. The proper use of magic will make Aegis Knights formidable opponents on the battlefield.

How to become an Aegis Knight

The title of Aegis Knight can only be bestowed upon the greatest protectors of Kanavan. Applicants must attain Level 30 with Ronan, and complete the 2nd job change mission before accepting the 3rd job change mission. Applicants must purchase the job change mission scroll with GP or Cash in the Shop, under the Academy tab, to begin the 3rd job change mission for Aegis Knight. The missions on the Cash Scroll will be easier than those on the GP Scroll. After purchasing the scroll, register the mission and you will be on your way to Aegis Knight.

In order to change jobs and become a Dragon Knight, you must obtain a mission scroll and complete the mission given.

CHARACTERISTICS

A Spell Knight is a one handed sword technician that is very strong in close combat and uses combinations of white magic to support his team.

Dragon Knights weapon of choice is the glaive that specializes in thrusting and slicing attacks. It is a balanced weapon when it comes to close quarter combat and measurable distance. It is excellent in continuous and charging attacks.

Spell Knight's magic strengthens attack power and supports the team's recovery. Ronan's magic can annihilate enemies and the glaive's battle abilities is at best when used with a combination of magic spells. A spell knight was the one that was able to defeat the dragon, so it safe to say that the Dragon Knight is the best warrior.

SKILL (Spell Sword)

LV1: Infinite Sword	3 combo hits while the enemy is in the air.
LV2: Sword Tempest	Hits the enemy with a fast spin combo in mid-air followed by a fast strike.
LV3: Roadstar Chaser	Rushes at the enemy with a strong strike and finishes with a giant rune energy beam.
Basic Combo	5 hit combo attack.
Dash Combo	Strikes with a glaive.

SKILL (White Magic)

LV1: Holy Inferno	Raises HP recovery rate for a short amount of time.
LV2: Spell the Rune	Attacks many enemies with the force of the rune.
LV3: Arc Breath	Summons a dragon and wipes out the enemy with an inferno.

Collect the Shattered Glaive Pieces	Gather 300 Shattered Glaive Pieces from the monsters that have gathered between the Marsh of Oblivion and Gaikoz’s Castle.
Gaikoz’s Seal	Gather Gaikoz’s Seal and defeat Gaikoz in Gaikoz’s Castle. The seal can only be found on 3-Star difficulty.

Ronan is the descendant of the Erudon Family, the legendary family of Spell Knights in
Kanavan. He was a Royal Guard Master whose duty was to protect the Royal Family of
Kanavan. His mind was being controlled by Kaze’aze who invaded the kingdom, but he
regained control when Grand Chase came to rescue and shattered the Shadow Orb.
Ronan realized something wasn’t right when series of mysterious events took place;
first the Invasion of Dark Anmon and then the discovery of passage to the New World

ABOUT THE CHARACTER

Ronan uses both his knowledge of magic and his sword wielding skills to slay his opponents in the blink of an eye. He also uses white magic in order to support and enhance his team’s fighting abilities.

Although his magic attack isn’t the strongest, his ability to use long ranged magic skills as well as close melee attack makes him flexible and efficient in battles.

WARLOCK

As the forces of darkness grow stronger, their soldiers become more menacing and ruthless, and their attacks against the innocent of the Bermesiah Continent grow more brutal and frequent. Although the Mages of the Violet Mage Guild have done everything in their power to exterminate all the monsters, they are vastly outnumbered and suffer from a critical weakness: Mages must rest to recharge their mana after casting their spells.

The greatest Mage of the Violet Mage Guild discovered that they can convert their own mana to cast powerful spells if they form contracts with spirits. However, the spirits are particular about who they work with and join hands only with Mages of exceptional power and character. These Mages are known as Warlocks.

WARLOCK CHARACTERISTICS

Warlocks serve the spirits of water, fire, wind, and earth, to further increase the power of their magic. Unlike fairies, sprits come from the Spirit World and answer to the Warlocks' calls. Various weapons such as books, beads, and canes are used to summon the spirits.

HOW TO BECOME A WARLOCK

The title of Warlock is only given to mages that have proven themselves many times over. They must attain must attain Level 30, and complete the 2nd job change mission before accepting the 3rd job change mission. Applicants must purchase the job change mission scroll with GP or Cash in the Shop, under the Academy tab, to begin the 3rd job change mission for Warlock. The missions on the Cash Scroll will be easier than those on the GP Scroll. After purchasing the scroll, register the mission and you will be on your way to becoming a Warlock.

CHARACTERISTICS

Combat Alchemists may not be as agile as Mages, but they possess the greatest offensive power of all the Grand Chase characters. They carry pots that contain bombs, land mines, and toxic gas and occasionally will find random items inside their pots. Combat Alchemists are especially useful because they can support their allies by healing and shielding, in addition to using devastating attacks to defeat enemies. They can be a great threat to their enemies depending on how they are used; their biggest drawback in battle is their slow movement.

Combat Alchemist’s can set invisible black magic land mines, spread toxic gas, and fire bazookas to attack enemies as well as heal and shield friendly targets at close range with their white magic.

SKILL (Black Magic)

LV1: Bomb Drop	Sets an invisible land mine with black magic.
LV2: Killer Cloud	Spreads toxic gas.
LV3: Blockbuster Explosion	Fires a bazooka.

SKILL (White Magic)

LV1: Cure	Heals all friendly targets within the skill’s range.
LV2: Magic Shield	Shields all friendly targets within the skill’s range
LV3: Make Item	Creates a random item.
Basic Combo	Sets a bomb
Dash Attack	Strikes with a pot
Air Attack	Throws a bomb

CHARACTERISTICS

Arme is an ideal Mage who freely casts offensive Black Magic and defensive White Magic spells. Enemies may laugh out loud at her physical attacks, but tremble in fear when her MP is fully charged.

Arme’s powerful magic includes spells that can wipe out enemies over a wide area; spells like Lightning Bolt and Reverse Gravity. Enemies that allow her to charge her MP will realize just how powerful Arme’s magic is.

Arch Ranger

As the Bermesiah Continent continues to suffer from the war between the
humans and the forces of darkness, the Elves created a special bow made
of Innadrail scales passed on from their ancestors with the hope of returning
peace to the continent. Only the best archers were allowed to use the bow.
These elite archers are known as Arch Rangers.

Arch Ranger Characteristics

Arch Rangers wield a powerful giant bow with an advanced design that enables
dynamic arrow attacks that fire at incredibly high speeds.

How to Become an Arch Ranger

Archers are eligible to apply for the Arch Ranger proficiency test after attaining Level 30 and completing the 2nd job mission. Applicants must purchase the job change mission scroll with GP or Cash in the Shop under the Academy tab to begin the 3rd job change mission for Arch Ranger. The missions on the Cash Scroll will be easier than those on the GP Scroll. After purchasing the scroll, register the mission to be on your way to becoming an Arch Ranger.

In order to change jobs and become a Crossbowman, you must obtain a mission scroll, and complete all the missions listed.

CHARACTERISTICS

Crossbowmen use dual crossbows to rapidly fire multiple shots, and can move extremely fast.
They can jump to great heights depending on the player’s skill, and can use visually breathtaking special abilities such as Fan Shot, Harpy Hunt Shot, and Dance Tempest.

SKILL

LV1: Fan Shot	Fire a volley of arrows that spread and fan out.
LV2: Dance Tempest	Recklessly fire arrows while dancing.
LV3: Harpy Hunt Shot	A skill that was originally developed for Harpy hunting, but found to be very useful in battle. Inflicts serious damage by knocking a Harpy out of the air to crush enemies!
Jump	Players can control the height of the character’s jump depending on how long the Jump key is pressed.
Dash	Lire is invincible during her dash, from the beginning of the dash to when the dash key is released, making it a very useful maneuver to escape from enemies.
Rainstorm	Jump, and then repeatedly hit the Z key at the apex of Lire’s jump to cast Rainstorm, a skill that will inflict great damage to enemies below and to the side of Lire.

CHARACTERISTICS

Lire specializes in powerful long-range bow and arrow attacks, and can move quickly and stealthily. Her only downside is that she is easily pursued by Knights; however, she can overcome this vulnerability by using her environment to her advantage, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike her foes down with a critical arrow shot. Lire is designed for fighting game experts who are skilled at controlling characters with precision. If Lire is guarded by a Knight in combat, she’ll make her enemies realize how foolish it was to confront her.
Lire’s most remarkable special ability is her Double Jump.

Sword Master

Sword masters are experts of swordplay. This style of fighting was developed by a Bermesiahn mercenary. Contrary to the name, Sword Masters aren’t limited to the use of swords, they can wield a wide variety of weapons; greatly expanding the number of strategies available to them. The king or queen of a country grants the honorable title of Sword Master to a limited number of people as a reward for completing certain missions and contributing greatly to their respective countries. Elesis’s grandfather, Sieghart, was once a Sword Master.

CHARACTERISTICS

Elesis uses a heavy, thick, two-handed sword to inflict devastating blows on her enemies. She has the experience and confidence necessary to be a flawless swordswoman by the time she acquires the rank of Sword Master; which will further improve her formidable fighting abilities.

How to Become a Sword Master

The Sword Master title is only given to those with great achievements; applicants must attain Level 30, and complete the 2nd job change mission before accepting the 3rd job change mission. CHARACTERISTICS

A Spearman specializes in wielding a long spear, enabling her to dodge strikes and attack enemies from a safe distance. Attacking with a long spear requires different battle strategies than fighting with a sword.

Spearmen can use aggressive attack skills, like combo attacks and furious jab-and-throw attacks and can also carry out quick multiple attacks with grace, despite their cumbersome appearance.

SKILL

LV 1: Force Strike	Strike the ground with a spear to throw up sparks.
LV 2: Compact Slash	Perform a spinning attack with a spear, concentrating power into the final blow.
LV 3: Fire Lance	Throw a burning spear to decimate all enemies in front of the Spearman.
Basic Combo	Swing the spear wildly.
Quick Multi Attacks	Strike a nearby enemy with great speed.

Elesis is a Kanavan Knight and daughter of a Kanavan Tracker who never returned after he was dispatched to find KazeAze. She is an exceptional swordsman who has been trained by her father since birth. While she is on a journey to find her father, she hears news about Kaze’aze in the Serdin Kingdom. Hiding her true identity, Elesis joins Grand Chase in hopes of finding her father.

CHARACTERISTICS

Elesis is feared by her enemies for her powerful attack skills that instantly wipe out entire groups of monsters. She leads her team at the front line of battle, advancing against enemies while defending her allies against enemy Archers and Mages. When she charges her enemies, they go down without having a chance to retaliate. Elesis has 80% more defense points against Archer’s arrows, and suffers the least amount of delay among the Grand Chase members when inflicted with powerful damage from enemies.
